1 Overview

The application field of Class A durable fire cable is gradually expanding, from the original offshore oil platform to aviation, aerospace, navigation, subway, tunnel, commercial buildings, hospitals, dance halls, metallurgy, chemical industry and power plants, etc., which require higher fire resistance grades the occasion. In recent years, with the maturity of A-grade refractory synthetic mica tape manufacturing technology, the amount of A-grade refractory cables manufactured with it is increasing.

As we all know, refractory mica tapes are divided into two categories: A-grade (950-1000°C) and B-grade (750-800°C). There are two kinds of phlogopite tapes and synthetic mica tapes that are widely popular in the market. The former is generally suitable for the manufacture of B-grade fire-resistant cables, and the latter is suitable for both B-grade fire-resistant cables and A-grade fire-resistant cables. Foreign mica belt manufacturers only produce B-grade belts, and there have been no reports of A-grade synthetic belts.
